Statebuilding Program Coordinator
Terms of Reference
The Center on International Cooperation is an independent think tank at New York University. Founded in 1996, it works to enhance international responses to humanitarian crisis and global security threats through applied research and direct engagement with multilateral institutions and the wider policy community. It has an international reputation for agenda-setting work on post-conflict peacebuilding, global operations and UN reform.
The statebuilding program works to support and improve the quality of international engagement, identifying gaps in performance and proposing operational and policy options to deliver on this urgent need. The programme studies the causes and manifestations of state fragility, the pathways to building resilience, and the tools and mechanisms of international intervention. This project also looks closely at emerging issues of fragility, including the economic crisis, energy and food security, and climate change, in conjunction with CIC’s program on transnational security institutions, security and scarcity, and conflict prevention.
CIC is seeking to recruit a qualified and highly motivated candidate to support the expansion of the statebuilding program.
