David Steven is a non-resident fellow at the Center on International Cooperation (CIC) at New York University, where he specializes in international responses to global risks and patterns of influence within global networks. He is currently leading the team working on the MGO Geopolitics of Scarcity. His other current areas of research interest are the demographic challenges of unstable states (Pakistan, Nigeria and Iraq), and the redesign of the UK's development program in Pakistan.

David is additionally an associate of the National Intelligence Council, and a director of the consultancy, River Path Associates. He is also on the advisory board of JLT's World Risk Review, and co-edits the international affairs website GlobalDashboard. You can follow him on Twitter @davidsteven
